The menu is a vibrant celebration of flavors and textures, with dishes crafted from organic ingredients grown in their own gardens and plantations, imparting a fresh, wholesome quality you can genuinely taste. Highly recommended are the steamed and deep-fried fish — especially the latter, a generously sized dish bursting with fragrant Thai herbs that tantalize the palate. For lovers of traditional flavours, the pickle stir-fried beef (酸菜炒牛肉) and the catfish salad are standout choices, each bite echoing the rich culinary heritage of Yunnan.
Other crowd-pleasers include the fried yellow mee with chicken, dumplings, spring rolls, squid, morning glory, and a perfectly cooked omelet. Portions are satisfying, with sizes ranging from small to large, making it easy to customize your meal and encourage sharing — ideal for groups eager to explore diverse tastes or individuals who don’t mind packing leftovers home.
Visitors consistently rave about the food’s impeccable balance of flavor and health-conscious preparation. As one diner beautifully put it, “It’s rare to find such care for both taste and health.” The vibrancy of fresh vegetables and the deeply savory dishes create an unforgettable harmony that invites you back time and again.
Though Ruammit is a “no-frills” experience, it’s precisely this authenticity and heartfelt tradition that make it a must-visit in Chiang Mai for halal food lovers. The cash-only policy keeps things simple and genuine, a testament to the restaurant’s humble, community-focused roots.

Veery tasty food, ORGANIC!!! From their own gardens and plantation- that’s exactly what it tastes like! Meet this little and fine restaurant in second generation! Just thinking back to the delicious dishes makes me watering my mouth! We chose for a variety of vegetables, also the steamed and the fried fish is highly recommendable! The fried one is not only very tasty, but also very big!! Of course we had to come back for a second scoop in the short time we were in ChiangMai. Staff and kitchen are very efficient and the owner very friendly! Don’t miss this opportunity to add a culinarily experience!

A true hidden gem! This cozy family-run café has been serving delicious Thai and Chinese dishes since 1974, right in the same spot. You can really feel the love and tradition in every bite. The food is incredibly flavorful and authentic — and what impressed me most is that several dishes are made entirely with organic ingredients. It's rare to find such care for both taste and health. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels like home. Highly recommended if you're looking for real, wholesome food with history behind it!

Halal, flavourful and good sized portion. We ordered deep fried fish with Thai herb (must try!), fried yellow mee (chicken), dumplings, spring roll, squid, morning glory and omelet. Giving this 7 out of 5 stars.

A no-frill Hui Muslim Chinese restaurant run for 50+ years. Serving great home cook style Yunnanese halal cuisine. The boss speaks good Mandarin and quite warm. Recommend 酸菜炒牛肉 (pickle stir fired beef) and catfish salad.
